| In the hands of a properly trained individual a knife, even a small knife with a 3” blade, can be an effective self-defense tool. A knife is a lethal weapon and there are very serious legal and moral obligations and responsibilities involved if you make the decision to carry a knife for personal self-defense. There are laws in every jurisdiction governing the justified use of deadly physical force. A knife is not the universal answer to every situation where a physical confrontation may occur and you need to familiarize yourself with the laws governing deadly physical force in your state and locality. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The knife training program at Brentwood Self-Defense Academy is design to teach you how to use a knife effectively to stop a potential deadly attack against yourself or another innocent party in a legally and morally justifiable way while trying to minimize the damage you inflict on the attacker. The object of the training is to teach you how to stop the attack NOT kill the attacker. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The defensive knife training at Brentwood Self-Defense Academy is modeled after the "Martial Blade Concepts" program developed by defensive knife fighting expert Michael Janich.
