| A great time was had by all at the Panananadata and Martial Blade Concepts demonstration hosted by Bettinelli's Community Box Academy. Guro Spencer Gee along with a number of his advanced students demonstrated the use of various weapons that are part of the Panananadata system including single/double sticks, sword and dagger. | Guro Spencer Gee is a Master of Pananandata (founder: GM Amante P. Marinas), a Filipino martial art that utilizes numerous weapons including single and double sticks of various lengths, the latiko (horsewhip), lubid (rope), bagakay (wooden throwing dart), dikin (rattan ring), daggers and swords. Sifu Gee is one of only a handful of Pananandata practioners with Master and Full Instructor Certification. In addition to his expertise in Filipino martial arts Sifu Gee represented the United States in 1981 for the first Wushu tour to the People's Republic of China and has extensive training in many other martial arts including Kung-Fu, Jiu-Jitsu and Tai Chi. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Sensei Paul Harris holds Proficiency and Associate Instructor Certification in Martial Blade Concepts, a system of knife fighting skills developed by edged weapons specialist Michael Janich. This edge weapons system has close ties to the Filipino stick fight arts. In addition to his command of edge weapons Sensei Harris holds Nidan ranking and Instructor Certification in American Kobe Jiu-Jitsu (founder: GM Bob Malvagno) and has fourteen years of modern Arnis training. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
