Martial Blade School

Martial Blade Concepts is an edged-weapon self-defense training program specifically designed to meet the needs of today's concerned citizen and armed professional.                             Martial Blade School The goal of Martial Blade School is the development of "all-purpose" self-defensive skills using a tactical folding knife. Rather then learning a large number of specific techniques to use against specific attacks MBC focuses on perfecting a few proven techniques and learning how to apply them in literally hundreds of different defensive situations. Through this easy to learn method students develop defensive proficiency very quickly and have both the ability and the confidence to employ their skills in a short period of time.

A series of six two hour classes will begin on Saturday Sept. 12th and run through Saturday Oct. 24th (no class on Sat. Sept. 26th). Classes will cover the fundamentals of Martial Blade Concepts, a system of edged weapon self-defense. The course will include… Ø Justified use of deadly physical force Ø Knife carry and deployment options Ø Bio-mechanical cutting Ø Angles of attack and zones of defense Ø Defensive responses Ø Footwork fundamentals Ø Standard and reverse grip partner flow drills Ø Speed stops Ø Combining knife and empty hand skills Classes will be taught by Paul Harris, a certified MBC instructor and 2nd degree Jiu-Jitsu black belt.

2007 Martial Blade Camp

These classes will be conducted wearing casual street attire (no Gi). Equipment required will be a tactical folding knife trainer (similar to a Spyderco Delica or Endura trainer), safety glasses and a forearm pad.
